Comments disappeared and won't show

    try:
    -deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down the problem. If the problem goes away, activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin.
    If you don’t have access to your admin area, try deactivating plugins manually via FTP or phpMyAdmin.
    -if that does not help, try switching to the unedited default theme (that came with your version of WP) for a moment by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes. The idea is to force WordPress to fall back to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    I did everything you said and comments still don’t work and all my comments are gone

    It is hosted by yahoo so there are backups

    Hello out there. Now when I try to adda comment safari tell me page not found. I really need help with this HELP

    Have you enabled commenting on new posts via Settings -> Discussion? Have you enabled comments on your existing Posts & Pages by checking “Allow comments” in the Discussion pane on each Edit Page/Post? If you do not see this pane, click Screen Options and tick “Discussion”.

    yes its allowed. I haven’t done anything different since the comments were showing. I had just a few comments and they have disappeared. I always got spam even with kismet and now I have o spam. All the widgets look right. I configured my comments and it tells me there are no comments yet. Pn the sidebar the widget shows 5 comments that aren’t displayed anywhere. when I test for a comment it gives me the comment box area but doesn’t display my comment. Sometimes instead of getting the comment box it will tell me safari can’t find the page. I would be happy to give you my ID and password and have you look at it–if you would consider doing that

    Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. And re-upload a fresh copy of Twenty Ten:

    my files and folders are stored on yahoo so I can’t reupload. I reinstalled wordpress than I renamed my blog folder to push a the default theme, then I reinstalled twenty ten but not from the site you just sent me to

    You could have a damaged database. Have you contacted Yahoo about these problems?

    Problem solved!!! Yahoo finally fixed it!!!
