How can I show a list of files in a specific directory in a page?

I’d like to make a page that will show a list of the files in a directory and have links to them so they can be viewed. Just like directory browsing works in a browser. I’d like to be able to upload files to the directory via FTP and how them show up when the page is loaded. I’ll be uploading 1 file every day so I don’t want to have to edit a page manually and attach the file, etc.

I searched for a plugin to do this and I could not find one. I found plugins to manage files but in each one you have to upload the files inside wordpress. I want to upload them using FTP (which will be automated on my PC).

Is this possible? I found some PHP code to do this but I have no idea where to put it and how to make it work. if this is the best way I will spend more time on learning about PHP.
