    The main image on my home page is showing as a thin vertical slice when using Internet Explorer 8. This problem does not exist with other browsers. The link to my site is shown below:

    I have not been able to find the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    any validation error can upset IE:
    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fjustbobimages.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

    move that ‘favicon’ code line to a location before the </head> tag.

    I am having trouble finding wordpress module (php file) containing the offending code. Can you help?

    nope – from the outside, it is impossible to see which template contains the code (and what code exactly);

    my guess: in header.php ?
    or have you used a plugin to add the favicon?

    (also, there is no guarantee that fixing the validation errors wil fix the display problem in IE8, but before fixing the errors, there is no point in searching any further)

    The offending line was in header.php as you suggested. After moving as suggested, the site validation errors went away, but the problem as stated in my initial post still exists. Where do I look now?
