    Hi Guys

I have been searching the internet for quite some time now to see if their were any plugins / functions to add to wordpress that can enable the admin to insert entries into a database and website visitors can search these entries specifically , without having to code from scratch php etc, obviously by searching database in the plugins section doesn’t really narrow it down, I’ve tried using participants database plugin, members database plugin but none seem to want to upload my csv file which imported fine into mysql database. So i’m at a stand still, if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great!

    Thanks

Uh. WordPress IS a DB driven website. Your posts are in the database.

What ‘entries’ are you trying to add?

i know that, but i have over 20,000 entries like an index

    Surname / Area / Row / Unit / Plot

and then the description for each, the posts option isn’t really what i want, i’d just like a small form for the owner to add
    Surname:
    Area:
    Row:
    Unit:
    Plot:
    Description:
    Submit

and site visitors to be able to search these records and filter the search.

Try looking for a suitable plugin.

I use the Advanced Custom Fields plugin for things like that. All of the fields you create are stored in the wp_postmeta table, so the content is searchable.
