I have an issue with the tag functionality on regular posts (using woo Themes Canvas) not working when creating a post or editing a post. the tag function become unresponsive and the widget does not work properly on the edit or add post screen. The function does work when I deactivate AIEC plugin. I am running 1.4 of AIEC. I suspect I should just rollback to 1.3 but are you aware of any issues with tags when running 1.4? any advise or direction is appreciated.

Nope, we haven’t received any bug reports related to tags not functioning properly. Do you see any javascript errors in Developer tools console?

    Yani,
I do have a javascript error on the post edit screen which is being caused by the AIOE pluging. It breaks the ability to tag and link and also how the page renders tabs. The message i see is “b” is undefined. This occurs with the latest release of Woo’ Framework 5.3.3 regardless of theme. If I deactivate AIOE the problem is resolved as you would expect. My biggest issue is how to resolve. What advice and direction can you provide?
Its a great plugin and I don’t want to change. I have to keep current with Woo as they are my base theme provider from many sites.
    your insight is greatly appreciated.

ps the source of the error is http://…./wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/js/jquery-tools-1.2.5.min.js?ver=3.3.1
is woo ptentially using a diff js version?

    Yani,
I chatted with my theme provider and they stated:

Please note that the latest version of jQuery is bundled within WordPress. This is the version of jQuery which all WooThemes use (and is the official version supported by WordPress).
This is the first we’ve heard of conflicts with JavaScript in V5.3.3. As JavaScript code was added in recent updates, this code has been tested to ensure that it is working and not conflicting with pre-existing JavaScripts loaded by the WooFramework.
I’d advise taking this up with the plugin vendor further (as you already have), as it seems they are using external jQuery libraries that may be conflicting with other native JavaScripts loaded from within WordPress. :

So any suggestions? I have reloaded AIOE files for 1.4 and that didn’t help. Should I try a new version of 3.3.1WP? I am a crossroads on this and really like ur pluggin. but I can add posts to my site unless I deactivate AIOE plugin first.

Just determined we also have a problem with this plugin, using Canvas as well. In our case, we can’t put new links in posts using the editor (we can type them in manually in html though). It’s overriding the ability to move blocks around in the admin screen on the posts page, and we can’t even access screen options when the plugin is active.

(the poor gal I’ve been helping just spent 2 hours trying to figure out why she couldn’t add a link)

I do not have the same issues with ai1ec version 1.5 – have you tried updating?

I am able to move blocks around in both the Post and Dashboard pages. Links in posts work fine.

I am using the TinyMCE Advanced plugin.

I am able to confirm the linking issue.

I have turned off all other plugins and turned on AIOE plugin only.

when I go into the post.

    1. Type in text.
    2. Highlight the text and click the hyperlink button.
    3. I noticed that the “Or link to existing content” either won’t open or load anything.
    4. I input a URL and press save. It recycles the page, wiping out everything that I’ve typed.

If I turn the AIOE plugin off, it works fine.

We are using the Bueno Woo Theme.

Exact problem we’re having, also with a Woo theme (canvas)

Yep I cannot get AIOE to work correctly in Woo Themes Canvas either.

I have disabled all plugins but just have AIOE active.
I can repeat fortissimo1009 link problem, I can’t add categories or view screen options when I am in edit post or edit page view.

I have to disable AIOE, make my edits, and then re-activate it again 🙁

It looks like a JQuery conflict to me.

Same problem with AIOE 1.5 and a Woo theme.

    Hi,

Thank you for the details, will look into this further.

As a short term test, can you replace all-in-one-event-calendar/js/jquery-tools-1.2.5.min.js with the newest version from:

    http://jquerytools.org/download/

Having the similar troubles with Elegantthemes – Simple Press theme.

    Netra,

Replacing the jquery tools file did not fix the issue.
