• I’m having an issue with NextGen but I don’t believe the problem is NextGen’s. But I’m confused as to what the problem could be, and I thought somebody here might have an idea.

I’m hosted on Bluehost. I decided it would be an easier way to manage my files to duplicate the “gallery” folder structure on the server on my local hard drive as well, so that way I can export from Lightroom into the local folders, and then use my FTP client (Transmit) to sync the folders with the server.

However when I do this often NextGen chokes on the files during the thumbnail creation. If I delete the problematic files off the server, and then upload them manually using NextGen’s upload facility the files load fine and the thumbnails are created without a problem.

I’ve checked permissions on the files uploaded with the FTP client and their 644, which I believe is good.

Anybody have any idea what might be going on?
