  • Hey there liavone77. Thanks for the note, and for using this plugin. We can help you out here…let me see if our dev Jonah has any ideas as to how you can resolve this when he hits the forums either later tonight or tomorrow. He’ll chime in directly if so…want to make sure we’re doing what we can to help get this taken care of for you. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the note that help is on the way…I can wait but its killing me a little bit each day. LOL!

Hi llavone77, just removing the !important rules is probably not going to do much. I can’t really go into much detail about what to change in the CSS because you can really change it all! Make sure you are editing a copy of the /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/resources/events.css file placed in an ‘events’ folder in your theme. Since you are new to CSS I would highly recommend checking out some basic guides or tutorials online. http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp is a good place to start – go through the whole list on the left hand side and you will have a much better grasp on CSS 🙂

    Good luck!

Thanks for the link to the tutorials, helpful but I am not quite that much of a beginner. I should have explained that I need more of a point in the right direction of where I will need to make the edits in the css to effect the view here: http://www.cookbetterthan.com/event/fl-reining-horse-association-show-ocala/ All the other views look great. I am beginner enough to know that trail and error and looking for the right place to make the changes could go badly…

I tried removing the important tags per a post I found in the forum that seems like the user was having a very similar problem to me and I thought “really its that simple?” So I tried it and realized that no its not. If you can tell me where I need to do the adjustments to effect this single event view I am happy to play trial and error on my own with the positioning. I just want to know I am doing it in the right neighborhood.

You will need to add specific rules to affect the elements on this page. You can use body classes like ‘single-tribe_events’ or ‘events-single’ to achieve this.
