profile.php error page when user signs up and directs to dashboard

Good morning all,

I am integrating a user base in my website, at the moment i have pretty much everything setup however when a user registers and activates via email, when they login for the first time they are presented with an error page (profile.php) with the following text…

You attempted to access the “domain.com” dashboard, but you do not currently have privileges on this site. If you believe you should be able to access the “domain.com” dashboard, please contact your network administrator.

and then a couple links to either the dashboard or the users new subdirectory…

is there anyway to prevent this coming up? if not where is the page text located so i can turn the error page into a welcome screen? lol
