• A suggestion, unless something is already in place and I’ve missed it:

It would be great if there was some way to more handle if/when there is a problem with Flickr. Yesterday, Flickr was down for a while and any pages that included a gallery showed only “Could not connect to the web service.” Even non-AFG content did not display.

I had to first know that Flickr is down and then deactivate the plugin (which, of course, then showed the shortcode on pages). It would be awesome to not have to worry about it on those admittedly very rare occasions.

    Thanks for all the work.

Why is that an issue? Shouldn’t it show the error when it can not connect to Flickr?

I have pages with copy and then AFG below. When Flickr went down, all the content/copy on all pages with an AFG was replaced by the error message – not just where the AFG appears. In effect, the entire page copy became the single-line error message “Could not connect to the Web service.”

Whoa, that shouldn’t happen. Actually AFG comes into picture only when the shortcode is parsed. Can you post the link to a page where this problem is happening?
