    Hey all,

    First and foremost, I’m thrilled to be a part of this community. WordPress and all of it’s contributors are FANTASTIC and I want to extend my most heartfelt thanks to all of you.

    My question!!!! Ok I’ve been practising with the Greyzed theme on wordpress.com and decided to move my entire website to it. Problem is, the wordpress.org greyzed has a few extra things that I want taken off but cant seem to do it.

    Check out the blog @ http://www.tickleempire.com/main

    I want the “blogroll, recent comments, social connections” crap taken off of every page, but I cant seem to find an option for it. I would also like the comment box to be taken out of every page.

    Can you fine people help me out?

    Thanks a bunch 🙂
    – Robby

  • You can do this just click on pages and then click quick edit there will be few option from there you can remove comment option also set to private and set password.

    Isn’t it just a footer widget. Check under Appearance | Widget menu
    They should be under the Footer Middle, Footer Right widget.

    If not you better create a child-theme, and modify the stylesheet slightly.

    Not as daunting as it sounds. 🙂

    This is whats confusing me, all the widget things are empty! And still I have sidepanel options and those stupid things on the main blog. Its so strange.

    Thanks for the quick reply,

    When the sidebar has no widgets added, it defaults to the default sidebar content provided with theme.

    Ok so that takes care of my sidebar problem, what about the crap right in the middle of where my blog posts will be. All that blogroll crap. I can’t take that off. I really want it gone, as well as the comment boxes under every page…

    Just send a test post. Blog Roll, etc should go in the footer area afterwards.

    You can modify the style.css alternatively by setting the .”socialfooter”, “.blogroll-foot”, “.recent-foot” class “visibility: hidden;”

    Check the documentation how to use child themes: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

    Ok I’m so sorry for being a bother.

    The test post did shove them to the bottom but I still can’t remove them. I tried to edit them out like you said but I’m not sure how to change the visibility…

    put the following lines below in the style.css you’ve created under your child theme. Make sure the child theme is the active theme.

    .socialfooter,
    .blogroll-foot,
    .recent-foot {
    visibility: hidden;
    }
