I don’t think the background has anything to do with it. The problem is that your wrapper div is not centering in IE.
It *looks* like you’ve overridden the theme’s margin settings for #wrapper (you’ve overridden margin: 0 auto; with margin-top: 20px; in sliding-door/style.css around line 208). I can’t really test it in IE from here, but my guess is that if you remove that margin-top, it will work in IE.
Thank you for your swift reply kionae, I appreciate your help but unfortunately the solution you provided has not solved the issue I’m having.
Again, the website displays as I want in Chrome and on my android phone, but IE is a no go. The page content is to the left of center.

Fix your code errors, in particular the script you added to header.php belongs BELOW the doctype in the <head> section. [Invalid] Markup Validation of desiredisco.com – W3C Markup Validator. Scroll down in the validation report to see line numbers and source code.

Ok guys, the hacked stuff is now a priority. How has this happened? Virus on my PC?
And things I should immediately do… I’m a complete novice and this is my first website.
I have seen the links you posted Songdogtech and I appreciate that, I’m reading through them, but anything to help me asap would be grateful as I don’t even know how to backup my webpage before I re-install my theme.

Ok guys, I’m running the ClamAV on the pc that was used to crate the page. While that’s going on I’m using my laptop to try and find the culprit script within my webpage, I just can’t find it in my cpanel.
Can anyone tell me where to find the culprit script within my site? I can’t find where the directories are stored in my cpanel.
Virus gone, I asked my host to reset my files, very helpful tsohost.
So now, back to the problem of the display on IE. Any ideas?

I guess you know you are hacked still or again. Follow the advice from songdogtech. Just resetting or restoring from a backup will not fix the problem.
