Glad we got this cleared up on the phone. Just incase someone else has the same issue.
The shortcode works like this:
[simple_directions title="Whatever Here" address="New York City, New York"]
Title and Address are both required but lang isn’t. It will default to English.

Thanks for the great support by telephone call even. Hey folks this plug-in works great and the ability to print directly from your site instead of going to Google Maps gives it that great in-line professional look.
Here’s my string, entered into a “Page”:
[simple_directions title=”Santaluz Golf Course” address=”8170 Camino Santaluz East, San Diego, CA”]
When I click the menu choice, I get the dialog, but when I enter an address, It just returns to the home page post with a long URL in the address bar. Since the example in this thread does not use a street address, does this work only for cities?

It works with specific address but only if Google can find the ending address. If it goes back to the homepage then you might have another plugin or theme removing jQuery.
Try disabling other plugins and see if it work.

I’ve got a pretty simple site using your shortcode but when I click the directions, nothing appears to happen. I took the addresses to google maps to get directions and it seems to work fine.
I disabled every other plugin (including Akismet)and I still get nothing when I click “Get Directions”
