Database connectionFails, Subdomain issue?

    Hi Gang,

    I’m trying to install WP on my IX Hosting account. I created a subdomain for my blog. The database connection is failing. I suspect it is one of two issues, either that WP is installed in a subdomain and it can’t see the database or the port might be non-standard. The database port is 3306. I’m using IX’s database host name in the host field.

    I’ll appreciate all responses.
