• Hiya

I’ve a landing page in my website named ‘Photos’, which lists all the albums I’ve created in NextGen Gallery – currently stands at one 🙂

Obviously clicking on one of these album covers, links through to the gallery page where we can see all the thumbnails etc HOWEVER I can’t see a way of getting back to main album listing page once in the gallery aside from using the link in the main website’s navigation.

Obviously I could hardcode a link on the template page I’ve created, however it would then be present on the ‘Photos’ page which I don’t really want.

    Any ideas?

  • This was the same question I had in mind.

As much as I can try hacking the NextGen template files, I wouldn’t want to apply it every time I update this plugin. Permanent navigation so users can go back to the Albums page is a +1 for me. 🙂

    Same issue here.
I have been reading through support posts (some dating back 4 years to 2008 or so) that all reference this feature. But none have provided an elegant solution thus far.
Most of the ‘solutions’ involve hacking the code or template files which can accomplish what we need done. Using PHP or CSS you can limit the link to only show on the gallery pages and not the main album page, but I do not want to have issues applying any updates.
I do not want to hack the code either. So hopefully we can keep this alive and eventually there will be a solution.
