Suggested Tags Gone Wild

Seems the suggested tags are just out of control. Besides being slow due to the new AJAX system the suggested tags menu just won’t go away. Ever though I’ve already typed-in my tags and have hit return (and the field is clear) the suggested tags pop-up remains on screen. There doesn’t seem to be a good way to get rid of it. I can click somwehere else on the browser page and that doesn’t work, only if I start to work on some other post field does that long list of tags go away. This is beyond annoying. I’ve seen older posts in the forums asking for WP core to go back to simple tags to speed things up. Some of these new features make things work so much slower. :^(
