• Folks,

I’ve got a weird issue that I can’t seem to find a solution for.

A post with images is showing an image on top of the post. When I look at the html code its supposed to be somewhere down in between the text.

When i remove the image, the next image down is shown on top.

I’ve switched the homepage from full articles to excerpts and back and I have disabled every plugin I had enabled.

I’ve copy/pasted the html to notepad and back to a new post, same story.

What makes it really weird is when I click the article title so that it loads in its own page, it is showing correctly.

Link: http://www.privatebits.net. It’s the latest article on the site.

If anyone knows how to solve that I’d appreciate it.

  • I viewed the source of your site and the image is showing up where it is supposed too, at least according to the code. I think what’s going on is your theme takes an image from each post (if there is one) and outputs it before the content on pages that show excerpts. So when you click through to view the full article, it shows correctly. But on pages where you have multiple articles, each one with a title and an excerpt and then a continue reading link, it will show the image first.

This is common on most themes. A lot of times themes use what are called featured images to do this. I’m not sure if yours does, but if so, you can make sure not to set any image as a featured image. If it doesn’t use featured images, you’ll need to edit your theme files to fix the issue.

Right, that is indeed the issue here, thanks.

Time to browse for a new theme then :).
