[Plugin: Disqus Comment System] Recent comments all appear display as "Anonymous"

    Hello,

    I installed the disqus comment system on 2 sites. The same theme: Absolum, and the same wordpress version 3.3.1. How come on one site the recent comments all appear to be by “Anonymous” but in the comments admin tool they show the correct disqus username. I did a few test commments with a disqus username, and the site show the recent comments are by “Anonymous” rather then the username.

    What is causing this issue?

    Hi Steve,

    This is a bug in our current plugin (up to version 2.70). We’ve put together a fix for this which will be included in the next release. Once we release the next version you’ll want to re-sync the comments from Disqus to WordPress (you’ll want to backup + delete them from WP first).

    Hello Tyler,

    Thank you for the update. It looks like the new version was released. I did an export of the comments, but I just installed the new version, and it seems to be working great now! I didn’t delete the other comments first. I just clicked install and did a test post, and seems to be fine. Do I have to delete them first like you said, or am I ok?
