And forgot to answer my question, too. There are many threads about this: and the answer is always the same: you have something either in the content or in the sidebar that is wider than that area’s width defined in the stylesheet.
Like those code tables, iframes etc. in your case, images, long code lines, long links etc. in other cases.
And yes, the search is working. Or you can just click on the main page one if the “hot tags” on the left.
