Aside from being able to select the tags and taxonomies you want to index, the ability to incorporate the indexing engine and results output page provide little to no benefit over the existing Solr for WordPress plugin.

One thing I liked about the new version was the ability to choose the order of the facet list, something that the Solr for WordPress plugin falls short of.

However, Solr for WordPress will index your categories (hopefully taxonomies in the near future) hierarchically, which allows for better organization and presentation of facets in the results page.

For now, I’m sticking with version 1.02.

    Hi,

My be I am wrong, but “Solr for WordPress” plugin doesn’t index custom post or custom taxonomies.

I read your post in Solr for WordPress Github support. If a feature is missing or doesn’t work as expected, please explain me and I will try to improve the plugin.

    Regards.
