  • Where and how do you want the featured content displayed?

I am thinking either as featured content boxes (image and text) or featured slider on the main page or other pages.

    Thanks!

I like WP Featured Content Slider and Smooth Slider they both have pretty easy interfaces. Smooth slider has a bit of branding which can be edited out.

    Thank you for your feedback!

Initial Impressions. I want my plugins to give me an easy to understand overview and customization process so I can quickly decide if this is something I want to keep and check out further or uninstall it.

    So with that in mind….
WP Featured Content Slider does not have as much visible customization as I would like. I did not notice where I could adjust the style of the slider. I tested it out for perhaps 15 minutes then uninstalled it. It is probably there but I did just not notice it.

Smooth Slider. Has a lot more visible customization options.
This I might try out a bit further.

    — Both sliders have a very basic feel to them. I am looking for something somewhat fancy, nice and with an easy to understand customization and use.

I am creating video tutorials of http://www.myactingportfolio.com/ a site that I am rebuilding with WordPress and if someone who has a good plugin which want to to try it out send me an e-mail or post here. If I enjoy the plugin and I believe it fits with my site I will then create a video tutorial which will be a part of the series I am making. Part of the criteria is that the plugin is free or has a means of testing it out for a period before purchasing it.

    Have a great day!
