[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Make Large image switch when clicking on thumnails

I’ve been reading and experimenting with Nextgen gallery for a while now but I still can’t figure out how to have a large primary image that seamlessly dissolves to another image when you click on a selection of thumbnails below it. Here’s the kind of gallery I’ve been trying to implement:
