I can see the button and it works, but, the problem is comments can be posted with or without login from facebook.
And it does nothing!!!
All of these plugins I wrote use the FB/Twitter/G+ credentials as alternatives to the “anonymous” method of commenting, where you have to put in your name/email/website. I don’t yet have a means of “requiring” login with one of these services. Basically, they just act as shortcuts to fill in that type of information for you.
So for the moment, the commenting features require “open” commenting to be enabled.
Perhaps in the future. I’m not sure about the usefulness of requiring such credentials though. Most comments I make on sites I use the three-fields for. If a site requires me to login to comment, then I generally don’t bother.

Tighter integration with Facebook would be good. In our case, if we provide Facebook and Google login, then we are sure we cover 99% of our visitor population. Requiring login reduces spam to a certain extent. But most importantly, showing avatars of people (pulled from their FB/Google accounts) has a massive effect on prospective users, who start associating these faces with more credibility.
Ideally, once the user has permitted my app to use authentication info, then the next time a visitor arrives at my site, (s)he should just be able to type in comments (if already logged into FB), instead of having to click on “Log in with FB” again.
At the moment, they still have to click the button again, but they don’t have to re-give permissions. It just recognizes that they’ve already given permissions and immediately goes into the “welcome FB user!” mode.

I know. I just wanted to say that it would be preferable if they didn’t have to click on the button again.
I know. I removed that because it caused severe slowdowns. Still looking into it for a future version.
Back on topic, I also want people to login to comment, write in bbPress etc only via Facebook. I never want to show them the WordPress backend. Would be nice if you would consider this, Otto
Otto – Another suggestion – on the subject of commenting – it would be so great if you could integrate comment feeds so that WP and FB comments mirror each other.
So far I’ve found the only way to do this is to install the Facebook Comments plugin, but I’m not entirely convinced that plugin sits well with yours.

It can pull comments from FB, but not push them back. That’s not possible. Not properly.
Conceding that what the “Facebook comments” plugin does is not the same as a WordPress comment that gets attached to the original post on Facebook, I do see the benefit of the “Facebook comments” type commenting.
The reason being, registering for the blog using Facebook login is a tedious process that I don’t think anyone is going to do. The commenting to your facebook profile still advertises the post and is simple and quick, people are likely to do it.
It might be a nice additional option for your plugin so that people don’t need two separate facebook related plugins.

Feel free to write the code and send me a patch. However, I’m not interested in it, so I’m not writing it right now.
