Physically change the URL of posts

    Hi all,

    I’d like to change the URL of a post to point to the same URL as a page within my WordPress site (a template), for example:

    Page URL from main menu goes to http://xxx.x.x.29/~bluemoun/?page_id=8

    Main feature sliding image (from a post) goes to http://xxx.x.x.29/~bluemoun/?p=99

    I need to change the URL of the above to go to “…./?page_id8” NOT “…/p=99”

    The only thing I can find on the post page to possibly change this, is to change ‘Permalinks’ but this takes me to global permalink changes?

    Any advice greatly appreciated!
