• I have installed pommo for wordpress and configured it to use sendmail to deliver the emails. When I try and send a test email, pommo displays a message that the email was sent, but the email never arrives. If i use the php mail option, i get the following error:

    * Mailing failed: Could not instantiate mail function.
    * Fail(xxxxxx@gmail.com)
    * Error Sending Mail

    I have used the free-standing pommo application without problems, but using this plugin with wordpress I am unable to send any mail.

    I have tried using the Wp-mail-smtp plugin and used the PHP mail() function option, but no luck.

    Any tips?
    Thanks,

    Daren

  • I have the same problem. Pommo works fine outside WordPress but when the plugin is configured exactly the same way – no emails are sent. Did you manage to find a solution? Thanks Marcus

    I haven’t found a solution. I gave up on the plugin and went back to a separate install of Pommo. I configured Pommo to point to custom WordPress pages for Subscription and Verification of newsletter sign up. Then I customized the profile update/unsubscribe page to look similar to my website.

    Works for me. Tell you the truth…I think I would rather have Pommo as a separate install anyway.

    Good luck! If you find a solution, post back here.

    Thanks for the reply Darren. I don’t have a solution yet but may do exactly as you did. If I do get a solution that works within WordPress I will let you know. Marcus
