Separate search results for admin and others

    The included wordpress search can return too many posts. I have reduced search results to more relevant posts by changing the search parameters from the post content to the post excerpt and post title. However, I like being able to search everything as the administrator so I created an exception for the admin to search the content.

    For those who find this useful, here are the revised version of to the search function for the query.php file in the WP-includes folder:

    Does anyone know how to add this modification to theme functions so that it is not lost after a wordpress update?
