[Plugin: WP Example Content] Causing problems in dashboard

In WP 3.3.1 this plugin is causing the settings buttons for my other plugins to disappear from the left sidebar of the Dashboard. Users in this post had a similar issue with some other plugins, which led me to isolate it to WP Example Content.
