Pilcrow Update Made My Background White

I am so frustrated it said there was an update to my Pilcrow theme in which I have my custom background. When I updated the background image is all white except for the very ends, the center used to be green and the snow flakes extended under the blog buttons. What happened. I have tried putting the url in CSS and switching to a new theme and back to Pilcrow, re uploading the background image and nothing works. Please help.
