Can you send me this zipfile per mail, so that I can check this here ? Or if possible attach it as new issue to my GoogleCode project. I will check then this , as my own zip’s are working.
Thanks
Same thing here, with 1.9.1 nextgen and uploading a zip, it throws errors when attempting to create the images. thumbnails are not created at all (error: “unknown file type”); regular images show up on my server but are unusable – downloading and attempting to re-open in Pshop, Pshop can not recognize them. Using the same workflow I’ve always used, no other new plugins added to my WP.

Alex,
I have just sent the zip file.

Find the problem, it’s only a Mac related thing, no Windows PC will create such a zip file. The fix is here :
http://code.google.com/p/nextgen-gallery/source/detail?r=1055
Next time donate me an new Mac, I will surely test this then better 🙂

Thank you so much Alex. It works.
How do you apply the fix? Sorry, not so good with code.

Copy and paste that code into the file: wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/admin/functions.php
