• I ported this site from another host, copied over the theme, then did an export and import for the posts etc. Everything was fine.
    Then I log out.
Now I get this error (which I had seen on the dashboard page while I was importing, but it went away)

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/90/8731790/html/privatedesignsbyluann/wp-content/themes/SimplePress/includes/functions/comments.php:53) in /home/content/90/8731790/html/privatedesignsbyluann/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 866

NOW…. I can’t get to the login page.
    The URL is http://www.itsbyfarley.com/privatedesignsbyluann/wp-admin
I have the domain forwarded and ghosted at http://www.privatedesignsbyluann.com.

Any ideas how to fix this so I can get into the admin area?

  • Did you use the auto-update feature? It fails, often in a shared hosting environment – use an FTP client to manually upload files to fix. Always backup site and DB first!

Did not use the auto update. I installed same version of theme on new host. Using a subdomain and trying to conserve on hosting with 1 account and using ghosted forward URLs.
Is there a way to get into the Admin section or do I have to upload everything again via FTP (which is what I used before)?

Try clearing all your browsers cache first.

I am having a similar problem. I upgraded to WP 3.3 about two weeks ago and the upgrade went fine but the Theme was not compatible. I therefore switched to TwentyEleven and everything worked but my slideshows were too wide for the new Theme so yesterday I switched Themes from the Dashboard and got an HTTP 500 error message. The site loads fine but I now cannot access the Dashboard. I cleared all my caches, I FTP uploaded a fresh copy of WP 3.3, and I FTP uploaded a fresh copy of the Suffsion theme, but still unable to access the Dashboard.

Also, I am using WP 3.3 and Suffusion on other sites housed on the same server and they all work fine.

    Any thoughts?

I fixed my problem. I had my webhost increase my PHP memory. I hope this helps.
