[Plugin: jQuery Colorbox] Close gallery by clicking outside gallery

In the full version of colorbox, you can close the gallery by clicking off of the gallery, the faded background. I would love it if this feature could be implemented in the wordpress version.. Or, does anyone know the javascript needed to add this?

This little feature greatly improves the user experience.
