Do you have a local copy of your page.php BEFORE you made any changes?
If so you could upload that copy and see if it works.
(you could also copy and paste the original (unless of course you made other changes to it) in using WP editor.
You don’t say what theme you are using? or if it is a child theme?
I don’t have a copy of the page.php unfortunately… I’m using the Wedding Bells theme.
How do I copy/paste the original using the WP editor..? sorry I don#t understand what you mean? I am using the appearance>editor>page.php window to make changes now..
Re-upload a fresh copy of the theme to wp-content/themes via FTP.
Go here. http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/wedding-bells Download and extract the theme. Upload a copy of page.php to the server via FTP.

Hi,
I deleted the <?php comments_template(); ?> from my page.php file hoping to remove commenting from my pages, but instead, it has kept the comments field and removed all my content!!!!
I have tried to reinsert the <?php comments_template(); ?> into the page.php but to no avail… all my content is still not displayed.
I still have it in my pages files, but it isn’t showing up online.
Please help!!! I am on a very tight deadline and can’t believe this has happened now… thanks!!
