Cant edit my post anymore through Dashboard

    Hello, i’ve been having some problems with my selfhosted wordpress blog. I usually post through Windows Live Writer, and sometimes i want to edit my posts, and sometimes remove my post as sticky.

    But now it wont work anymore, i cant see the text anymore, i have to mark over the text to see it. And when i click on edit on for example “Visibility”, the edit page just scrolls down.

    I’ve tried with latest version of Firefox and Internet Explorer 9. I’ve tried to clean cache and cookies, but it wont work. Do any of you guys have any solution? I would appreciate it!

    Try
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder. The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems. If you can’t log in to change themes, you can remove the theme folders via FTP so the only one is twentyeleven. That will force your site to use it.

    Hi.

    I tried using twenty eleven, dont work, i tried deactivating all plugins and also using twenty eleven, wont work.

    I dont know how you reset plugins folder and where i can find mu-plugins folder, doesnt show in wp-content.

    Do anyone have a solution? Because of i deactivated my plugins, my widgets became inactive also. Now i cant move widgets to the side bar that are inactive, please help.

    If you deactivated all the plugins that is basically the same as resetting the plugin folder. Also not everyone has a mu-plugins folder so lets move on.

    Is it only with live writer you have the problem? Does the editor work within wordpress?

    No, i can write posts with Live Writer. Then if i want to edit the post and i have to do it through wp-admin, the text appears in white and i have to mark over to see what it is, the edit button for making a post sticky or not is not functioning any more. And now i cant move widgets to sidebars or deactivate them.

    Delete the wp-admin and wp-includes folder. Download a fresh copy of 3.3 and replace those directories. DO NOT touch the wp-content folder.

    OMG! It worked! My mate, thank you very much, i thought that people were to busy today in Christmas to help me out, but you did! Thank you so much, it means alot to me! And i thought i would need to install my plugins again and so one, but its back to normal.
