  • I’ve had more before and fixed it ….
Revalidate, but make sure that your source is displayed, and verbose output.
First, ignore those errors that have been created by actual posts. They can be corrected at leisure (or never if you choose) what matters is the rest.
Where the validator does not like characters such as & you will have to replace it with the ascii equivalent.
You have some <br> tags – they should be
Change a view mistakes, revalidate, do it again and just keep pluuging away – it’s hard work, but when you do it, and see the “Valid !” message you’ll grin madly 🙂

I backup what podz had to say. I imagine many of the errors are from br, hr, img, not having closing / on them. It looks like you’ve also missed a lot of other end tags such as After you plug away, you’ll start to learn all the little things that will throw off the validator. Also…you might not really have 124 errors as one error often causes others.

A single mistake can cascade into a lot of validation errors, as the parser keeps looking for a closing tag to one you left open. After you fix an error or two, recheck and see if that squares things up more than you’d expect.

see! …already down to 10 , and its only been an hour! *clap, clap*

I don’t think 124 validation errors first time out is anything like the record here;)
Nice work though to get them down so fast;). Welcome to Word Press 😉

    Oh, thanks for the encouragement!!!!!
Well, so will work on it during the weekend. I only have one more question…
“”””Where the validator does not like characters such as & you will have to replace it with the ascii equivalent.””””
Where can I look for the ascii equivalents?
    Thanks all

eltintero – I once ran a MT blog of someone I know through the validator. Over 560 errors 🙂

If you don’t do over 100 you probably haven’t done much hacking anyway, and that would be really boring 😉

That is a really beautiful looking blog. You have got the powered by Word Press logo to the right of your menu (i am on firefox) might be a minor mishap with a missing close div or something. Validation might fix it anyway for you. Good luck.

    Congratulations eltintero !

    Thanks everyone!!!
Yesterday i was here until 1 am, in the irc #wordpress, and thanks to NuclearMoose and all other guys that helped me there, and here in the forum. Now, my site validates!!
Hey Root, will check with Firefox about the WP logo. Thx for the tip.
    Cheers everyone, U are gr8!!!!

That misplaced logo might be a syntax error like a tag missing. On the other hand the footer may not be positioned quite right. It is a common difficulty and easily fixed. Can’t access your blog to see it at the mo.
