• So, an update prompted me to update my theme and before my thoughts could catch up with themselves, I had clicked it.
    Now, all customizations are lost.
I have a backup that I made prior to installing 3.3 and sought about restoring it (hoping that it will restore all customizations as well).

I first followed all the instructions on this site.

The last bit of instructions said to go get a coffee, but before I could fully stand out of my chair, it was done…
Nothing good had happened with my site. So, I’m now looking at the instructions on this site.

But before I do something as drastic as erase the entirety of my tables, I wanted to check with you guys.
The backup I have was made with the plugin ‘WP-DB-Backup’ and it created a zip file on my computer that had an extension .gz
After unzipping, the file has no extension.

Please help a noob in need… I’d hate to have to redo everything
