List Custom Post categories separate from Regular Post Categories

    Is it possible to list separately the categories for my custom posts and for the regular posts?

    For example, I’ve created a custom post type called ‘videos’. The categories would include algebra, geometry, and calculus. The only category so far for the regular posts would be site updates.

    Ideally, I’d like to list them all on one page, something like the following:

    Subjects
    -Algebra
    -Geometry
    -Calculus

    Blog Archives
    -Site Updates
    -Some other category
    -Some other category
