Ok, here’s the situation: I finished my site a couple of weeks ago, and haven’t touched a single thing in my stylesheet, or any of the actual .php files since then. I’ve just made posts. However, this morning when I logged on, I got a WordPress error saying that my my database was having had issues, or my host server could be down. After several attempts to load my page, it finally did. The problem is, now my sidebar image at http://www.davidryanpaul.com/ (the .gif image with the old guy with the word bubble) now appears darker. It should integrate seemlessly with the top bars.

Internet explorer displays this fine, but Firefox (my default browser) is now having problems.

My question is: what on earth could have caused this, especiall since it *was* working right prior to this morning, and the fact that I haven’t touched a thing in two weeks?

I’m a novice with basically no code skills, so just keep that in mind.

    Many thanks,

Ok, I just noticed something significant. If you click on any of my pages under ‘about’, the sidebar image displays fine. But not on the normal page with my posts when you first visit the site.

Does that shed any light on the issue for anyone?
