• Hi,

I’m yet to see if an automated backup completes, but I’m trying to manually create one by using the ‘Back Up Now’ button.

Whereas on a different site of mine (BUT SAME HOST) the ‘creating zip archive’ / spinning icon appears, nothing happens when I click this button. The page eventually just reloads, but with no backup created.

Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

    Thanks,
    Andy.

Should there be a log file somewhere? When I look via FTP, its as though BackUpWordPress isn’t changing anything when I click ‘Back Up Now’.

Perhaps any directorys I need to ensure are accessible?

I’ve uninstalled all other plugins but the same behaviour remains.

    Thanks,
    Andy.

Also… I’m looking through a backup i made via my hosting backend and I found a peculiar directory sitting in the actual public_html folder.

    It’s directory tree is…

    public_html / home / sites / mydomain.com / public_html / wp-content / backups

Could BackUpWordPress be tripping up and attempting to create what it things is the backup directory. As the actual backup folder location is…

    public_html / wp-content / backups

    Hi Andy,

BackUpWordPress just uses the WP_CONTENT_DIR Constant to decide where to put the backups directory so it shouldn’t get tripped up specifically unless your whole WP_CONTENT_DIR constant is incorrect.
