I’m in the process of setting my my online store using WP – sometime in the future I’d like to open further stores for different world zones, so for example the curret one would be europe.store.com and the others namerica.store.com or safrica.store.com. Id like them to be linked and for the primary admin to access from one login, hence why I’d be using WP-MU to build.

Is there anything I need to do now, as I start on the first one, to enable the process of setting up multiple sites on the sub-domain a lot easier in the future?

If you use multisite for this, they will be separate and may not be able to share the same ‘stock’ database. I would delve into your ecommerce choices and ask them specifically if they support Multisite using one master stock list, if that’s important.

Otherwise you will be setting up the ‘store’ for multiple subdomains.
