• Setting up W3 Total Cache Plugin Version: 0.9.2.4
When I view the Compatibility Test I see this in the list:

Mime type detection: Not installed (required for CDN support)

I am trying to set up W3TC to work with MaxCDN and I am getting an error and realize that I need to install or enable Mime type detection. I am on shared hosting with GoDaddy. How do I resolve this issue?

    This is the error:

It appears Minify URL rewriting is not working. If using apache, verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess or if using nginx verify all configuration files are included in the configuration.

I am thinking that these two are related. Thanks.

  • Would also love to know how to do this and have searched and searched for the solution.

Need to check with GoDaddy if they support the Apache mime module.
For url rewriting see if pretty permalinks is working for you.
There could be a problem with the rules in htaccess being in the wrong order. W3TC rules must come before the #BEGIN WORDPRESS rules.

@pcgs51 that should work fine on godaddy.
