Support » Fixing WordPress » [Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com] Jetpack update STILL NOT COMPATIBLE with latest WP 3.2.1

  • Hi, thanks for releasing an updated Jetpack, however I’m still getting some issues. Bit of shame because Jetpack is so useful. It means that any time that I want to make changes on my site, I have to deactivate Jetpack, make my changes, then reactivate Jetpack.

If Jetpack is activated, this is the type of problem that I get:
    PAGE EDITING
    – no editing window appears
    – fatal error (Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/XXXX/public_html/wp-admin/includes/theme.php on line 187) (this error does not appear when I deactivate Jetpack)

Any ideas to stop this error from occurring?

  • Hi,

The fatal error you are seeing usually indicates that the PHP configuration on your server does not have enough memory dedicated to it. In this case, it looks like only 32MB of memory is dedicated, which in most cases is quite small. You may want to try contacting your host and ask them to increase this to 64MB to see if this alleviates the problem.

    I hope this helps,

    Tim
