    Hi. I’m using WP 2.0.2 and am trying to get the latest version of HideThis to work. I’ve inserted the tags correctly but the content within the tags are still shown even if users are not logged in. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Make sure you have the Rich Text Editor disabled otherwise when you insert the html comment tags (that the plugin needs to work), WP will add code tags around them, and they will not function properly.

    I have never used this plugin, but from looking at their website, it seems like a possible problem.

    I would disable the RTE and view the post and make sure everything is correct.

    An idea anyway 🙂

    Yup, the editor is disabled. I don’t really like that thing so I’ve defaulted it to off for all users.

    Well I just downloaded the plugin and tested it on my test installation (WP 2.02) and it seems to be working fine. The information is hidden once I log out.

    I noticed that the readme file says to enclose the text to hide in this:

    <!--hidethis-->
    <!--/hidethis-->

    But on the plugin page, in the description, the double dashes are not shown properly. There is says:

    <!–hidethis–>
    <!–/hidethis–>

    So make sure you are using the double slashes 😉

    Btw, I posted a comment on the author’s page to inform him of the issue 😉
