You should move away from all frames. Migrate to CSS w/ boxes, or if thats too big of a step for you hit up tables. Frames are inherently mean to your viewers. Not to mention you, if you want your page to be friendly it requires constantly writing in code to work with the frames. Ick…

Also your blog file does not have to be index.php, you can rename it. Just be sure you note the change in your settings – via wp-admin.
well their was an option in older versions ot change he name of hte wp default file. now its gone. i myself use default.php as the homepage and index as the wp file if i want them both in the same directory and use htaccess to get apache to get default over index. 🙂
I have the blog part of my web site plugged into the center of my page, with crud on the left, right, and top. I used CSS, and it wasn’t too tough to do.
If I can do it, anyone can, and I think most users prefer CSS pages as opposed to any kind of frames.
You could use iframes, but If you’re going to go to the trouble of an update, you might as well make it a real overhaul.
