Permalink problems

I apologize if I’m wrong section to post my question, my question is, however, is relative to the permalink.

I have two websites both with wordpress.
In one of them in the menu settings> permalinks custom structure as I simply inserted a / and permalinks work correctly stating the name of the page as a link (exemple. if the page name is rome, my permalinks will http://www.mysite.it/rome).

The other site I did the same thing but does not work. In fact, if I call my page rome, rome automatically becomes the permalink, but when you click on the page my browser says “The page can not be found”, as if he could not find the page.
