display two one-column gallery in a single page

    Hi.
    i want to show two one-column gallery in a single page.

    i want one column to display 6 images and the second column to display only 2. when i use regular wp gallery i can’t control how many images and which ones are in one side and how many on the other..
    is there a way to control it?
