• Hello!

This is probably a little stupid question for some of you – but here we go anyway…;/

I´ve searched but haven´t found any comprehensive collection of cronjob-scripts online for wordpress.
I´m sure there are – but I have not found it.

If there is somewhere – I would appreciate that link.

The only thing I have found on several sites is the script for backup of the DB.
So that script I have – and it´s alright.
But it seems to me that if your site crash it will not always be necessary enough with a backup of just the DB.
Don´t you need wp-config.php also and maybe other files…?
You need all the custom files to be on the secure side.

How should one think here – when speaking of a backup on the server/same hostingaccount as the site is on…?

    BUT…

I would like to create cron jobs for a couple of different backups –
which I want to put on the same hostingaccount as the site – in a directory above the public_html-level.
(or possibly FTP to another account)
I am talking about the Cpanel cronjobs.
It seems to me the best way to backup – to get it through Cpanel – rather than go through plugins.
    But where is the scripts…??

CRONJOBS SEARCHING – FOR A SCRIPT.
    ……………………………………………………
    1. backup for a full and complete WordPress (everything – db, files – like a complete FTP-download
    2 backup for WP-DB (that I have)
    3. backup for wp-config.php
    4. backup specifically for all custom files (not the corefiles)
(so I eventually can erase all wordpressfiles, install a new fresh WP – and insert the backup in to this)

    5. backup of Home (as in Cpanel)
    6. backup of forwarders, other DB:s, System filter info (as in Cpanel)

I imagine that it would be nice to have 2 backups – and then at the third backup – the oldest backup is deleted – when a newer backup is on it´s way in.
This is meant to be just a little something in case of the site goes down –
and it´s meant to be automatic backup.

Bigger backups – maybe with several revisions – could be FTP:d to another acount/server – or downloaded to the computor.

…or if someone here has another, better solution for automatic backups – please come forward.

Maybe it could be a nice collection of scripts in this thread –
that more than me could benefit of…

    Best Wishes!

    M
