• How do I do this? I KNOW I used to be able to. Where did the button go? I’ve found, downloaded, and unzipped a theme I want to use. I thought I could just search for it and upload it, but I don’t see an option to do this in the wordpress>admin>manage themes.
    I’m new to this! Help!!

p.s. I know there is a way to do it through FTP, but I’m not sure how to even connect to my site.

This is bullshit. I’m having the same trouble and There is no info why. I spent $40 on this theme and can’t even figure it out. I thought wordpress was supposed to be easy.

Uh..Thanks, but its not 🙁 I’ll try opening it up in safari in hopes that firefox is just having some display errors.

    Hi julsey414,

Like you’ve said, the best way to work this out is with FTP but it’s not the only choice in order to reach your needs.

Very often you’ll find a “file manager” in the tools offered by your hosting company (cPanel…) with usually some buttons on the top of the interface with actions like “New File”, “Upload” and so on… Pretty obvious from there: go to the “wp-content/themes” directory then putting into it the folder containing your brand new theme. It should now appear in the themes offered on the themes page in the admin.

So here is the thing…I’m currently using dreamhost, but there was an issue with the hosting. Right now its listed as DNS only rather than being fully hosted with dreamhost. I therefore cant use their file management system. AND i havent been able to connect via cyberduck.
    So that’s where I am.
