[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Registration and logout issues

    We are using the Facebook connect plugin on liveviewlcf.com and are seeing a couple of issues.

    1. When registering using Facebook, it creates the WordPress user but doesn’t seem to associate it with the facebook account, you have to log in using the auto generated password and connect your account to facebook through your profile.

    2. Once you have done that and you login using facebook, you are unable to logout.

    You’re more than welcome to register and account on liveviewlcf.com is you want to try to reproduce the issue yourself.

    Yes, version 1.1 has some issues with the OAuth2 conversion that I wasn’t able to work out in time for the Oct. 1st deadline. The development version fixes many of them, but not the logout one yet. Feel free to give it a try though:

    I’m seeing a similar issue that is probably connected.

    I’m usually logged in to a client’s site as Admin; not using my own FB identity.

    Suddenly, for no obvious reason I get logged out, and I see the Register page with my FB details pre-populated. Clicking the “Log-in” link simply re-loads the Register page, as does entering the login url directly.

    The only solution is to log out of Facebook; I can then access the normal wp-login page.

    I can then log back into Facebook and all is well.

    Good luck with finding a better solution.

    I have fixed the registration issue and the logout issue. Presuming this was due to the Facebook API changes.

    Let me know if you want the fixes contributed, are you on GitHub, or I can send them manually?

    Logout should now be fixed in trunk.

    I had the same issue !

    Last version in the trunk fixed that. I confirm.

    However I had to comment out line 134 in sfc-base.php to avoid an error.
