Warning messages

    I keep getting random warning messages while using the WordPress backend and while on the site, but they do not always occur.

    Example 1:
    Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/mydomain/wp-includes/class-simplepie.php on line 1727

    Example 2:
    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/mydomain/wp-includes/class-simplepie.php:1727) in /home/mydomain/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 934

    ummmmmm, help! LOL

    P.S. I have already posted this in the DIY support forums and they do not seem to think this is a problem related to the Thesis theme.

    deactivate all plugins and test
    if error goes away then re-activate one by one until you find problem plugin

    Well, I don’t have the SimplePie plugin, I understand from reading the description page that it is an RSS and Atom feeder, but the only two plugins I am using for that purpose is FeedWordPress and Strictly Auto Tags. I will try deleting and re-installing them. But why would the Warning mention SimplePie if I do not have it installed? Also, I did a search using the file manager from Hostgator (my hosting company) and found many class-simplepie.php files, across several domains I manage, I have never used the SimplePie plugin, and some of the sites where I found the file never have even used RSS or Atom feeds…

    What happens if class_simplepie.php is just a standard file that comes with WordPress or Thesis?

    class_simplepie.php is a file that ships with wordpress
    however, it’s also used for dashboard feeds – not just plugins

    try deactivating all plugins temporarily and test if error persists
    if not, enable plugins one by one until you find the one messing with you

    OK, I have done as instructed and discovered that when I had two specific plugins active at the same time this was causing the issue.

    Now however, I had added some new plugins and am getting the error again. I simply can’t NOT use these plugins and I need some official WordPress support – some techies who know the platform – to please help me get these errors to go away.
