• I’ve done a fresh install of the latest version of WP. All went through without a problem. When I go to write a new post I get greeted with the error:
“Error: Could not find the template function: TinyMCE_advanced_getEditorTemplate”

in a Windows pop-up. I can still write my post etc and everything works fine but the stuff such as bold and intalic are missing. They’re not essential I suppose but they make life a hell of a lot easier and I’d like them working.

I did a bit of Googling and someone suggested re-uploading the ‘Includes’ folder. Done that. Didn’t work. So, as the blog was new, I deleted everything and started completely again. I even deleted the database and re-downloaded WP. I tried it all but the problem still remains.

Any help would be much appreciated. I promise not to hug you.

  • The advanced editor has problems with Safari and FF 1.5.
I don’t use it at all – it’s more of a pain than a help.

But I also tried it in IE and I had exactly the same problem.

Oh, just checked in IE again and it works fine. OK, thanks for your help. I’ll stick to using IE whilst updating that particular blog.
