wordpress links to a category archive page that doesn’t exist

    I use <?php posts_nav_link(' — ', __('&laquo; newer posts'), __('older posts &raquo;')); ?> to link to the previous/next pages in a category archive I call on index.php

    Basically the news/blog part of a wordpress installation which is calling categories on various archive pages.

    http://www.maxknoth.de/news/

    It creates a link to …page/2 which doesn’t exist. I have the category/postname permalink structure.

    What am I missing here. Help is greatly appreciated.
